History
The First Neural Network Society was organized by the scientists of the
In 1991 it was transformed into the Russian Neural Networks Society (RNNS).
RNNS still unites the scientists from many republics of the former
RNNS was founded
at the congress on
Two successful International forums on Neuroinformatics
and Neurocomputing were co-sponsored by RNNS and IEEE
Neural Network Council in Rostov-on-Don in 1992 and
in 1995.
RNNS took part in organizing of the International Joint Conferences on Neural
Networks (1999, 2001) and co-sponsored Workshop (USA-NIS Neurocomputing
Opportunities Workshop) in Washington, DC (July, 1999).
RNNS organizes
annual congresses of the Society and conferences in
Membership
Any scientist of the Former Soviet Union can join RNNS
according filled written form sent to the Secretary of Executive Committee
(details can be received by email i.a.i.a@mail.ru).
The members of RNNS have benefits in prompt receiving of the information about
all RNNS events and also can be supported by RNNS in their innovative
initiatives.

The First RNNS conference was in 1988 in Puschino. The RNNS supported International Conference
"Neurocomputers and Attention" was held in
Two International RNNS conferences "Neuroinformatics
and Neurocomputing" were held in Rostov-on-Don in 1992 and in 1995.
Russian session of IJCNN-99 (
The Annual All - Russian Conferences "Neuroinformatics"
are organized by RNNS at Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (MEPHY) (every
January from 1999).

Seminar
The Official RNNS Scientific Seminar is held monthly at the Assembly Hall of
the Institute for Higher Nervous Activity and Neurophysiology, at 18.00
(penultimate Thursday of every month).
